We do not all have big behinds and flat stomachs. Most of the women I see in the mall kind of had a round shape to the middle and some had flat backsides. We need clothes that accomadate this sort of figure. If I can figure out the shape of most women by looking 1 hour in the mall, then what is taking the fashion industry so long.

I would like to see some cute country clothes. Like perly snap shirt that are wider in the shoulds and chest and longer in the body, and cute blue jeans that are not huge in the thighs but long in the legs, cause i'm kind of shaped weird, i have big sholders and big boobs, and i'm 5'11 and don't have really have big thighs, I'm kinda strait in that area. If by the time i get out of college and haven't seen anything that helps country women that are shaped like me then i'm comeing out with my own line of country clothes, and it's gona be called Barn Goddess. And it will be cheap in price, cause i know how money goes on a ranch or farm... Your Barn Goddess founder Kelsey

I'm new to the Figure community - I just started reading the magazine and so far I LOVE IT! I would love to hear about your favorite aspects of Figure so I can learn more about the magazine. And if you have things that aren't so great, I would love to hear about that too!

Plus size Apparel designers

Can we hear from designers regarding the cut of plus-size apparel? I have a heck of a time finding blouses that have a neckline that isn't so open. Every top seems almost like a boat-neck design that just slides all over, making me look larger still. My shoulders are more sloped instead of angular and I have a collection of shoulder pads that add length in blouses. But, that doesn't seem to work in tops. Also, I'd love to see more tailored, heavier knit jackets for the office. A blazer would be impractical and overdone but a cotton jacket would be great. Simple, elegant, "throw-on" type clothing is much more to my liking as it can be tossed over the head like a favorite tee shirt and still manage to make you look stylish and ready for anything. Classic, tailored white pants and nautical tops for Spring are fun but for this season of rain it's navy pants (so over black) and a fine cotton, white shirt or blouse (ala Perry Ellis or Calvin Klein). Add a scarf with a nautical design and you're set.

I just want to say that I whole-heartedly agree with everyone who has posted here. It is sooooooooooooooo frustrating to go shopping, full of excitement, with money to spend, and come home empty handed and down-hearted.
I just posted a blog about this very subject today including some eye-opening facts and figures on how much money we above-average women have to spend on clothing each year. It's amazing designers would be willing to simply turn their backs on this spending power. You can read my blog, Fabulosity, here: http://melafabulous.blogspot.com/. I'd love to know what you think about it. Feedback is welcomed with open arms. edited by laural on 11/10/2008

THANK YOU for that link! I love the dresses there! They are also modelled well, so we can see the drape and fit. I'll be saving my pennies for some goodies there.
